Most of the perimeter of the quarry is bordered by footpaths, and so the fencing needs to be secure. When we first moved to the area the fencing was in a state of disprepair, with easy access to the granite cliffs that fell vertically 100m or so down to the quarry floor. The local council "had a word" and the fencing around the whole quarry is now safe and secure.
