Autumn colours are as vivid as usual this year, but around here we seem to be lacking the reds and russets. We can go and find reds and russet foliage, on Burbage Common or Fosse Meadows, but around Croft Hill shades of yellow dominate. May be it is the tree varieties around us, but I'm sure that on previous years a short walk down the village has rewarded with the full range of Autumn hues.
