Actually Chandlers Cottage, but it does look at its best in spring, especially during the early spring that we are having this year. The occupiers must look forward to this time of year, when winter is almost at an end. The cottage is two fields from us, close to the river. After heavy rain flood water sometimes laps up to the edge of the garden, and in cold weather this spot at the bottom of the valley can be a few degrees colder than at our home, less than half a mile away.
