Dog walkers will know how difficult it is to predict how long a walk will take. Nothing to do with the miles - it is how many people stop to chat. On Saturday morning a chap suddenly appeared out of a hedgerow on the Hill, and stopped to chat. He was surveying fungi (and yes, I am sure that he is a very Fun Guy...). Lots to be seen thanks to warm but damp weather, but soon all will be buried beneath fallen leaves. This morning these fungi were spread across the hillside.
