Another Village Walk

This time in Stoney Stanton. A diseased tree on the village green was cut down and enough stump left for this tree carving celebrating the local quarrying industry. Most villages close to to our home have a quarry, none operational and now lakes,except Croft Quarry closest to us. Even this quarry has not operated for two years, awaiting permission to extend the quarry. Luckliy for us Croft Hill is between us and the quarry, so no noise apart from feeling the blast when it happens.
