in the cemetery.
I joined a photography group a few weeks ago so that I can learn how to use my camera properly.
Last night we had a trip out to a cemetery and had fun with light painting.
This is my first ever attempt and I love it! That's another thing off my bucket list!
Smooth bit of work there Mrs S! I saw something like this on the cover of a magazine just this last month and was wondering how to get the spherical effect. All I could think of was that it was some sort of colour changing torch tied onto a long cane and then manipulated in swirls at arms length to get the effect.
I like this version best for the extra crispness in the light trails - it's a Fav for me. BtW Chantal, you learning how to use your camera is like a Formula 1 driver taking driving lessons!
@vignouse so nice of you to say so, but you don't see all the rubbish I produce or the frustration of not knowing how to get shots as I want them to be! I have got lots to learn....Thanks for the fav and all your lovely comments on this and my past photos. Much appreciated.
Love this too. I had been content with my phone and the iPad but I'm now thinking I need a proper camera. I had been thinking of getting one when I get home and now, seeing what you can produce I will! It will make my travels around Essex more interesting!
This is such a lovely shot, the patterns and swirls in the light ball are really beautiful, well worth having a go at if this is the result one can get.
Beautiful and colorful apparition. I've not tried light painting yet but seeing your result they have touch my curiosity :). I hope you enjoy you new group
Stunning shot and great colours! I'm just starting to experiment with light painting and night shots and I really enjoy the creativity - and the randomness of the results! You never quite know what to expect
