Whenever a suitable flower dies and dries out I put it in this vase. I just love the colours and textures and I don't have to remember to water them!
I took this photo today because I am fed up with putting on fillers.
Healthwise, I started feeling worse yesterday. I can't stay awake and haven't much energy. I was in hospital with double pneumonia for 6 days and have been at home for a week. I went to see my GP today and she has confirmed that I still have double pneumonia and has given me 2 more lots of antibiotics in an attempt to keep me out of hospital over Christmas, bless her.
So more rest although we are booked to see the horse show at Olympia in London tomorrow night. We have an overnight stay in a hotel so am hoping i'll be ok. I can rest on the train and in the hotel, and it's sitting down at the show so should be ok. It's been booked for a year and I don't want to miss it. We'll see how I feel tomorrow.
These are beautiful, what a clever idea! Great lighting, which brings out the tones and texture of the flowers. I hope you get better soon, and that you have fun at the horse show.
This is stunning and an instant fav for me. I so hope you feel well enough to enjoy your trip. Do take it easy as much as you can, and get properly well Chantal!
This is a lovely still life. The colours and the light show of the dried flowers so well. Take it easy Chantal as you've obviously had /have a real deep infection. Hope you make the horse show
Damn that double pneumonia!! And, thank God for antibiotics as they really do save your life! It will go away eventually, but your body is really fighting the infection and making you tired all the time. Hope you can make it to the show. I am looking forward to your shots from Olympia. And, this is a lovely still life....love the negative space, too.
