Drosera, commonly known as the sundews, comprise one of the largest genera of carnivorous plants, with at least 194 species.These members of the family Droseraceae lure, capture, and digest insects using stalked mucilaginous glands covering their leaf surfaces. The problem with owning one of these plants when you are owned by 3 cats is that the sticky red buds capture the cat fur as they pass. I have to de-hair the plant before taking my shots of it!
Fabulous capture, great detail. Must go to the garden centers and buy some of these plants just for photography purposes :-) and maybe get rid of some mosquitoes
What an amazing shot of this fabulous looking plant! FAV for sure.....I just cannot take my eyes off of it, and it looks so amazing on black!! As for your cats, I am amazed that they are not constantly stuck to the sticky red things! Or, do you have it high up, and it just attracts the fur through the air?!
