We have been entertaining relatives from the USA and Canada this week and next week. They wanted to go into Leicester City. Not something that we like to do on a day off work as we work there all week. The funny thing was we had a wonderful time. We visited the Guildhall and Leicester Cathedral, the Lanes, Market, High Street, Town Hall and of course one or two pubs. We even had the fun of coming into the city by the park and ride bus service, again something that I wouldn't normally do.
It just goes to show that when you are in the same environment day after day, you really don't look and see what is around you. My relatives who used to live here many years ago were very impressed with Leicester.
I don't know how you did this but it's very clever! Fav. We do tend to take for granted scenes we see every day don't we? It does us good to explore with friends who have not been there before because I think we suddenly see things that we haven't noticed.
Very cool shot!! And, yes, years ago when I lived in NYC I would ordinarily stay away from tourist attractions. It would take one of the frequent visitors to get me to places like the Statue of Liberty, and I would always end up having a good time! Glad you enjoyed your time at your home turf with friends and relatives!
