The island is very crowded. The birds tend to mix without trouble although the cormorant looked a little surprised at the Puffin coming in to land so close to her nest!

Love this shot! I was headed to Maine in 2 weeks for family vacation, and the puffins on Machias Seal Island were going to be the crowning glory of the trip for me! Taking care of grandbabies while daughter-in-law is unwell instead. Ahhh .... next time I suppose.
