@taffy just a few feet away the other side of the narrow river. The guides were watching closely and were ready to get us up the tower or back on the bus if they decided to come over to our side. It was truly amazing and worth every penny to get out in the wilderness and watch life as it is.

@homeschoolmom I had a 100-400mm but it was not necessary as we were so close to the Bears.

@taffy we went on a grizzly tour with Campbell River Whale Watching Tour. We were taken 70 miles by boat up Orford River and Bute Inlet to the First Nations Camp where we were bussed to different spots along the river where we might see bears. We saw 10 in total plus dolphins and Stellar Sea Lions on the journey there and back.

@parisouailleurs no not really but the guides were looking out for us and were ready to get us to safety quickly. We were only a few feet away from the bears but they were the other side of the river and just too interested in catching and eating Salmon to be bothered with us!
September 3rd, 2016
@markyl we think they were Coho Salmon.
