Many thanks on your kind comments on my project! I'm back, but not on a regular basis. To answer your questions, cottage build has been a nightmare - we have the builder from hell. He's continually lied to us on completion date and now we're 3 months over. We're talking to other contractors at the moment to get estimates for others to complete our cottage but that will cost more. Plus, dealing with medical issues over the last few months which will require multiple surgeries in the near future. Not a good start to 2017!
@bluespirit that is terrible. They seem to be the world over. It is so difficult to get decent builders. I really feel for you. Are you living on site in a caravan to oversee the works? I hope things go faster for you now. I really thought you would be in your dream cottage by now. Can't wait to see it. Also sorry to hear about your medical issues. I wish you well and hope whatever it is that ails you is sorted quickly. And yes I found Jai's textures. They are wonderful. But I remember yours and I am pretty sure you created yours yourself. Don't be gone for long Kass as I need you for inspiration!
@shepherdmanswife The cottage is located 2 hours north of our city home so no, can't stay on-site to keep an eye on him due to our work schedules. He's only responsible to build the shell of the cottage and my husband and I will be doing all the inside work (long term project). He only has about 3 weeks of work left - but when he only shows up 1 or 2 days a week he's really stretching it out to my frustration. Well, onward and upward. It will get done - just not on our intended schedule. Patience - the word I keep reflecting on! ;)
