I see you.... by shepherdmanswife

I see you....

Pigeons are classed as pests here but I think they are quite photogenic.
Pigeons really do get a bad rap! This is quite a different colour pattern from ours, but ours are pretty as well. Poor little things... Lovely image, and good for you for sharing him!

You've presented him very regally which helps to give him better status, I like the frame and black background.

You've changed my mind about them - lovely shot!

You've managed to make him look very 'Thomas Gainsborough'- romantic.

Indeed they are, if the photographer is that good!

I agree - they're so pretty. We have tons of them in Pittsburgh and there are resdent falcons that feast on them quite often - city chicken I call them :)

I can't believe I'm fav'ing a pigeon, as they are unbelievably pesky here. You have made it look so artistic!

@888rachel I've decided he's an upper class pigeon so deserves to be photographed. He's very proud of his photo! 😂

I LIKE pigeons. I have a lot of respect for the city pigeons around here. They thrive under very adverse conditions. Richard and I always refer to them as "rock doves," which is another name for them with no negative connotations.
