I was told by another photographer last night whilst out in this field, that the farmer has sold all of his fields for building land, so to appease the villagers he seeded them all with poppies. They are a beautiful sight. My friend and I stood in this field for 3 hours last night to wait for sunset. Well worth the wait!

Story is lovely, about the farmer sowing the poppies to appease the nearby residents, but it's not true. The builder ploughed the fields to make it difficult for people to walk on it; that turned over the seeds, that and the dry weather of late has resulted in their germination.
What a site to see and such a lovely thing to do. Shame they will be built on because if the poppies were left to seed they would be poppies for years to come. Fav.
