Welcome to NZ. Hope you weathered the storm OK. We didn't get it as we're in the top half of the North Island. Enjoy all the wonderful photo opportunities you'll get here.
@nickspicsnz hi Nick, where are you? We were in Russell yesterday and are travelling to Rotorua today. Will be on the ferry to South Island next Monday. Love your country but tiring driving such long distances to see everything in the time we have here!
@graemestevens so which part of NZ do you frequent Mr S? Just so I don’t walk into your lair!
Lovely country but such a lot of driving needed to see everything. We’ve got 4 weeks but need 4 months I reckon!
@julzmaioro hi Julia, yes we were up north between Reinga and Russell. We had wind and torrential rain in Russell yesterday for about an hour then that was it. Lovely country. We’re heading for Rotorua today and South Island next Monday
@shepherdmanswife Hi Chantal. You'll probably drive past our little town today. We're just off SH1 midway between Auckland and Hamilton - Te Kauwhata. Good luck with all the driving - NZ looks little on a map but it takes an age to drive between places. The roads take a bit of getting used to, and places that look like towns on a map can be just a couple of houses and a few farms, especially in the South Island. Rotorua is quite different! You'll adore the scenery down South. It's great in the North Island but the South Island is even more beautiful. I emigrated to NZ from the UK about 9 years ago but I still 'ooh and aah' when we drive anywhere, and I have to pinch myself that I actually live here.
@nickspicsnz I loved reading the details of your life there! Thanks for sharing it with Chantal and those of us who were eavesdropping! @shepherdmanswife This is so tranquil and beautiful and your silhouette frame is magnificent! So happy to read you have 4 weeks to visit there as I look forward to more pictures!
