My Get Pushed challenge this week is "to look through your favs and recreate one of them". The timing couldn't be better. I've been wanting to recreate a lilac photo from last spring ever since I took it, but obviously had to wait for them to bloom again. Well, they're blooming!
Truth be told, I have no clue how I got that photo last year to do what it did, so this is a serious challenge. Also, since I've been gone all weekend, the flowers have passed the point of where they were last year when I was catching them, so I may not be able to get the soft pink I'm looking for, but here's my first try, anyway.
@peterlgrave I agree, Peter. There was something light and airy about it that is missing in this shot. But there is something missing compositionaly in last year's shot. HOPING to find the right magic this year. Still have a couple days to work with it....
This is really lovely. But I have to wonder if the challenge wasn't to recreate someone else's photo that you fav'd. That is a challenge I have set before.
