Peony by shesnapped

Peony

My BABY!!!! As soon as I bought her last year, I set her on the back patio until I could plant her the next day, and overnight a d*%# squirrel came and murdered her!!!! Those malicious masticators! Her gorgeous petals were lying in a sad pile on the bricks, her green branches stripped of their glory, and her sweet aroma gone forever! Arrrrgggghhhh!! So what do you but plant her and hope for the best next year. She suffered a bit of damage earlier this season when the university volunteers came and helped clean up the yard. They raked over and broke some of her new growth, so I wasn't sure she would make it. But here she is! Two blossoms this year! And she smells WONDERFUL!!!

This is the relatively "unedited" version of her, meaning she went thru the normal lens profile corrections and such like that in LR. Then I ran her thru OnOne and had a little fun with her. You can see that version here:

That's two blossoms more than we have had in ten years! Really should move it! Such a pretty colour and lovely detail.

@paulaw If it's not blossoming, it's likely planted too deep. Or in too much shade. Either of those true for yours?
