Dh driving us to DC this morning, so took the opportunity to play with this photo again. Much better!
My get pushed challenge this week from Marta is to "choose an item (any item) and photograph it in an unusual way. You could for instance place the item in a setting where you wouldn't normally find it. Or perhaps it could be used in an unorthodox way. Or... just let your imagination run wild and have fun!!!" So these eggs from the fridge are placed on a bed of leaves on the patio chair and lit with a light sculpting technique.
These are the exact same 5 photos as I used last night, but I've worked them differently. For starters, I went ahead and adjusted exposure, tone, and hue/saturation/luminance in LR before opening in PS. And when I exported from LR as tiff's, I noticed that THAT'S where I made the mistake in the color space last night. So that's been corrected as well. Once inside PS this time, the masking process went about the same as last night except that it was easier now that I had an idea of what I was doing. Kinda colored outside the lines a bit, but the road IS bumpy you know! :-)
May try to process the series I did last week for Lynda's challenge that was entirely too complicated for a first attempt.
amazing how three dimensional you got it when you light sculpted! Must try this out. Of your three versions, I like this one the best. Pays off to prepare before stacking, it seems!
