Several things have been playing on my mind about this photo. I posted it in the rush of emotion, but in the light of day, the artistry of it has been percolating, distracting me, interrupting my thoughts as I try to close out the year at work....
I've gone back and re-edited it in just a couple places. Curious what you guys think....
Thank you so much for all your kind comments on the story. Please know that the woman in the photo and I have developed a working relationship over the years. But you can also be assured that the relationship with her prompted me to deliberately pursue a purposefully loving relationship with my daughter-in-law from the first day I met her not even knowing if she would ever become my own. And it has paid off immensely!
I like the first version also. ( but totally understand why you might have wanted to linger with this photo ... I do see from comparing the thumbnails that you've given the hands meeting a sort of mystical glow, which they deserve). I'm fixing on the phrase "pursue a purposefully loving relationship" because it's making me think. Relationships of any kind don't just happen.
