The boy and his sheep, revisited

So many thanks to Frank Hymus @frankhymus for his detailed instructions on processing this shot! Rather than working over what I had already done, I just started all over from scratch. After a couple hours, and a little wine, liking this version MUCH better! (Will I EVER get to the point where I can edit a portrait in a more sane amount of time???)
@frankhymus REDONE! Only took a couple hours, and lots of trial and error. A lot of it was deciding which order things needed to be done. This is my final result. Your thoughts?

Yes I think it is much better. But we have to get where you aren't tied down for two hours. :)

@frankhymus In the back of my mind I'm thinking I should make a list of the steps I need to take and the order in which they should be taken .... shew, but after 2 hours my eyes are blurry!

@frankhymus Looking at it this morning with fresh eyes, I'm inclined to ask if it's too much.

@peterlgrave YES! I tried a new-to-me technique!

@shesnapped I don't find it so. The only thing I might try to do is to play with the greyscale sliders to see if I could separate the child's face from the ground in the background a little. The "Targeted Adjustment Tool" is useful here, the fifth from the left in Camera Raw on the tool bar.

@frankhymus I will look at that!
