From San Francisco Fisherman’s Wharf. by shutterbug49

From San Francisco Fisherman’s Wharf.

Lovely shot. Are the old ships there permanently or there for a special event?

Seems so odd to see the old clipper ships docked at a modern port! Good catch!

lovely shot … I'm sure it was interesting and a good time to be there and see all that was going on.

@onewing The ships are there indefinitely and open for tours.

@olivetreeann May be a surprise, but San Francisco is NOT a modern port. All of that has moved across the bay to Oakland. They have some fishing and a few Cruises leave from there occasionally. No container ships. There are actually some hearty swimmers in that water. Ghirardelli Square and a major cable car stop are right behind me, so very busy tourist area.

What a wonderful sight, fabulous find and shot. We were in SF many years ago, I am not aware that I saw any ships at all ;-)
