Jay’s new bread book had this new loaf called slab bread. In addition to the usual flour, water, salt and yeast, it has a small amount of olive oil which makes it softer and excellent for sandwiches.
@cocobella@beryl@radiogirl@farmreporter@happysnaps The smell was wonderful. It’s always hard to wait for it to cool enough to cut. It was especially good with the Drunken Goat Cheese in the lower right corner.
oow - I like the bread slices against the lines of the cutting board here and how they're complimented by the shape of the butterdish and the oppossing shapes of the butter pats.
