I had the unexpected opportunity to be sitting in my car outside the waiting room of a local hospital ER. As I watched the people inside whose lives had been brought together through many different circumstances, I thought how blessed I am that I am not one of them sitting inside waiting for news from a doctor. I was also reminded that illnesses never takes a vacation. Not even as Christmas approaches.
