We had a warm spell today and all the icicles that were once hanging from everybody's gutters are now gone. So I thought about the new Cold Stone that opened a few months ago and that it would work nicely.
I greatly appreciate all the views, extraordinary comments and Favs for my Horse photo yesterday!
@kwind - You have to try it Kim! They are a little expensive but a good place for an occasional treat.
@danette - I didn't know they were that far south. The first one around our area was in Ohio. But the first one we were ever in was in Eagle River, Alaska, where it all started. When we went to the one in Ohio the owner asked us if we were ever in a Cold Stone before and when we told her ,"Yes, in Eagle River" she acted like she was in awe of us.
@copperheadglass - Thank you so much Meredith! I see where this really restricts your choices of subjects, It's almost like watching "Chopped" on the Food Channel where the chefs are given a few ingredients and are told to make something out of it.
@jgilker - Thank you very much Jessika! I appreciate your kind comments!
@sam_cr - Thank you so much Sam! They have these refrigerated marble slabs and you pick the flavor of ice cream you want and what you want in it. Then they mix it together on the cold stones. The ice cream has a gooey creamy texture and taste.
@nana2r - We do like our ice cream. There is another ice cream business not to far away that makes gelato which is an Italian ice cream. It is very tasty and is supposed to be better for you because it doesn't have all the milk fat as regular ice cream.
@espyetta - That is an excellent rule to live by MaryBeth!
