Lost Its Usefulness

I can remember a number of years ago when a neighboring farmer put up this fence to fence in a pasture for his cattle. As you can see it is no longer needed.
Awesome shot

Wonderful capture with great textures and tones, plus contrast of the hard wood with the snow.

This is beautiful. Great composition and processing. Fav!

I like this. It is desolate, and with a whole bunch of textures. I like the misty blurred background and the contrasting wire. The wire is stronger at top and then seems to get faint or towards the bottom and that adds to it too.

It was needed for this beautiful shot though! Soft as snow.

Your use of dof is wonderful here. Love the sharp vs. soft, white vs. dark, smooth vs. texture - for such a simple shot there is so much here.

Very lovely scene with the mist as background!

Skip, you have some great 'snowy' shots. I read your profile and I do the same - respond to a comment by giving a comment to the giver's photo. I really couldn't cope with anything else on a regular basis. (I do sometimes comment on a comment if I feel I have something worth saying.) fav
