It was our daughter's birthday and what made it a special event was that this was the first year that our granddaughter bought her mom her birthday presents with her own money. In the past we always took her shopping and paid for the gifts she wanted to get for her mom. This year she insisted on using her own money. These are the earrings she bought. Both mom and daughter were pleased.

When we took our granddaughter shopping she actually picked these. But then she changed her mind and wanted to get something else so we gently steered her back to these.
