Picasso painted some odd shaped people in different walks of life. Tonight we went to watch our granddaughter's last swim lesson when I saw this one instructor under the surface all distorted by the ripples of the water.
Like Maggiemae @maggiemae I like this much better in colour , and immediately thought of an octopus !! Beautiful tones and colours in the rippled water .

Thank you all so much for your kind comments and favs! I am glad that you like it. I wasn't sure how it might be received. You have placed in on the PP which I am surprised and grateful! I learned something tonight and thought I'd pass it on to you dSLR owners. If you have a full frame camera it probably won't be of help. I have a crop camera and when shooting under low light situations I have used the no flash mode of my camera which is similar to program mode where the camera sets everything. The drawback is that my two Canon cameras in this mode will crank up the ISO to 6400 which creates a lot of noise which in many but not all images is very noticeable. Tonight I tried manual mode. I set the ISO to 1600 and was able to shoot at 1/180 of a second which nicely stopped the swimmers when they were jumping into the pool. I could have gone to 1/250 of a second, but it was a little dark. My f stop was f/5.6. A lot less noise and still getting a nice DoF and a decent shutter speed to stop action. Thanks again for your kind comments!
