Spring Sprang Sprung

We got hit with 5 inches (12.7 cm) of snow which pretty much took away the look of Spring. But it is still that time of year when you don't know what you are going to get as far as weather.
Great contrast of the seasons in the same shot.

Hope it melts fast! Great shot of the snow on the new growth.

I often wonder how the new growth copes with snow and colder weather, but I guess nature is tough. I like the repeating pattern of the greenery.

At least you can make a good shot of it!
But i'd be hoping for the sun to melt it away soon.

Thank you for your kind comments. Not only did it snow but the temps plunged to winter-like lows. We were in the teens (15 F -9C) for lows for two nights. The poor daffodils took it hard. I wonder what effect this will have on flowering trees. The magnolias are shot. Such is the weather in the northeast. Today the snow is gone except for a few pockets. Today they are predicting 1.6 inches (4 cm) of rain. Sounds like a totally yucky day.

Makes for a lovely composition though, lovely against the new growth.

@mittens - We live just south of I-80. Many people that live south of us say that the closer they get to 80 the more snow they see. But I remember at least once this year when the storm came up from the south when you got more than us.
