Mascot Roller Mills

While in the Lancaster Pennsylvania area we did some sightseeing. One stop was at this grain mill in Ronks Pennsylvania.
The earliest grain mill on this site was in the 1730's.
The present building is the result of enlargements made to the 18th century structure in 1820. In 1906 and 1909 turbine powered milling machinery replaced the water wheel and mill stones.
Three generations of the Ressler family operated the mill from 1865 through 1977.
The mill is now a museum and is funded by the Ressler Foundation. The mill is still operational but only for educational purposes. This Amish gentleman started the mill and ground some corn for us to see,
How wonderful a thing to see, Skip!
