A secondary reason for our trip to Lancaster, Pennsylvania was to visit an area that I saw on Facebook showing a map of waterfalls in central Pennsylvania. We decided to go to Ricketts Glen as it has 20+ waterfalls. We stopped at the park office to get a map of the trails and my wife asked and was told that we should go to the Beach #2 parking lot which we did and easily found the falls trail which lead us to the Glen Leigh Trail. This hike pushed us to our limits. We descend down to a point in the park called Waters Meet where two creeks come together. That part was easier as going down is easier than going up and I stopped often to photograph the 8 falls going down. Plus there were large groups of people that day and slowed the pace. After resting at Waters Meet, we headed back up the Ganoga Glen Trail which has 10 waterfalls. However the climb up was brutal. Just measuring the 10 waterfalls adds up to about 350 foot rise plus the distances between the falls which could be close 1,000 ft based on the website link below. Over all we walked approximately 5 miles.
This falls is listed as being 13 feet high.
