I am thinking that I have painted myself into a corner. The challenge is becoming more challenging as the days pass to capture this pine tree in 31 different ways.
We awoke to the return of winter and more snow.

You are kidding! In 31 different ways! You are going to get rather cold doing this! The branches on this tree are almost the same lengths. Makes it look as if it is twirling!
Beautiful shot of your tree. I'm worried about finding enough shots for my tree, too. We have a ways to go yet but I'm going to try to stick with it. I think you are doing a great job with yours.
@mittens - Thank you Marilyn! I was looking for pine cones but they don't form until later. I thought about renting a drone to get a shot from above. I am going to have to dig deeper for ideas. You keep going too!
Beautiful shot, Skip. I'm hoping for snow here for my tree! There was snow in the forecast for the weekend, but it seems to be staying north and west of us now.
@houser934 - Thank you! I think had I thought about it more before committing I would have chosen a subject that had more to it. But, like you said this will force me think outside of the box.
@maggiemae - A thought came to mind yesterday. When I mow the grass I use a riding lawnmower and when I cut around this tree the branches brush against me. Is seems to me that I heard that if you have a bush or tree and you don't want it to branch out that it you rub your hands on the tips of the branches occasionally they won't branch out.
Maybe that it why the bottom branches don't extend out more than they do.
@maggiemae - I don't know if I have ever seen a blue spruce growing out in the open away from homes and whatnot. We used to have a second one but it was dying and we had to have it taken down. It was beside a lane and large trucks would brush against the one side going in and out. It was much older than this one so its base was larger.
Maybe that it why the bottom branches don't extend out more than they do.
