Actually, this wasn't Christmas Eve. I took this on the 29th at our daughter's house when all our oldest grandchildren were able to visit. It just looks like a typical night before Christmas shot waiting for Santa to visit. There is no need to comment. I am filling in some calendar openings with shots I haven't taken time to post earlier.
It really does suit your title. What a lovely space you have in your home for this. Our tree is still up. When life is difficult - and this year has been really tough so far - I keep the tree with its lights up until the tradition of Candlemas, which is 2nd February. An old English tradition that anything not removed by 12th Night remains til Candlemas. Everything else has come down but the tree and its sparkle is still giving light and cheer through January and it is very welcome.
