toronto's harbourfront underwent some major revitalization the last several years. part of them was the construction of the wave decks, a series of unique wooden structures/pavements along the edge of the lake. with a total of 3.5-kilometre area spanning the water's edge from parliament to bathurst streets, they vary in shape, articulation and design to reflect the movement of Lake Ontario. this is the simcoe wave deck.
thank you so much for your kind visits and comments; know that they are greatly appreciated.
Toronto has done really well in developing the waterfront. Lovely capture! I love the curve and roll of the harbor walk. Have not yet been there, have to check it out next time, thank to you!!! :-) FAV.
Looks like a truly fascinating addition to the waterfront area! It also looks like it would be a challenge to walk! I love the way you have composed this shot!
@kwind - it's not that steep, and i think it's treated so it won't be slippery when it rains. i suppose it's a different story in the winter. thank you, kim.
@grammyn - for those of us with knee or balance problems, perhaps, although i did walk on it yesterday and had no problem. the composition is slightly similar to a photo i recently saw. thank you, katy.
