looks like a paper boat, ain't it? it's actually a very nice building. it is in the same complex as the aga kahn museum in toronto. i posted a photo of the façade of this building in june: http://365project.org/summerfield/365-again/2015-06-15
the grounds of the complex have a number of large water rills. i don't know if you could still call it a rill if it's this big, as you can appreciate from the size of the people on the other end. but i like the reflection of the centre on the water.
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly and greatly appreciated.
Interesting looking building. Makes me think of the Louvre. Cool reflection but I agree that I'm not sure the water can be referred to as a rill, it's more like a pond.
@salza - i don't know if it's a pond either. it's a square black marble and the water continually flows on the surface down to a catch around it and recycled. one can stand on it and the water doesn't even reach to the ankle. it's more like a flat fountain. thank you, sally.
First off let me say I love the picture! Very interesting architecture completed with the perfect reflection! I love that there's a person in the shot and reflected as well!
I had never heard the term rill before so thank you for adding to my edification!
Good to see the people - otherwise this building could be huge and its not really! A different sort of architecture sort of pyramid style. Love still water!
@summerfield Great reflection in this shot! Ok, so here is your challenge for the week, "A birds eye view" a photo looking down on something. Have fun!
Yes, the entrance to the Louvre, except with the top chopped off! Interesting building, and I do like these rills that provide so many opportunities for reflections....which reminds me that I need to return to Balboa Park and photograph the lilly pond!
