this is the dome of the allen gardens conservatory, facing south.
the study today is form. form in photography is shape with dimension which is created by tone or colour transitions within the shape. as in the dome, the arching lines create the impression of the dome's form, as well as the difference in how the light strikes each segment of the dome. (talking out of the ass here, but it sounds good and plausible huh?) i had to clone out a pole and some wires on the right using ribbet. methinks i did a good job i myself can't even tell the pole was there before.
see yesterday's post for the lowdown on this week's assignment from professor billy. ☺
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are greatly appreciated.
@summerfield Wonderful image. Super depiction of form, and you've got some lines in there as well. Was the pole a black lamp pole with a lamp that somewhat resembles the shape of the dome?
@bill_fe - no. you see that grayish thing on the lower right corner that's almost covered by leaves? that's a concrete pole that reaches up to the middle half of the frame, with wires, and covered a quarter of the little vent. i was quite chuffed how clean the cloning was.
