i searched high and low around downtown toronto and uptown, too, but no luck. so i thought i surely would find something from my two-week photo road trip last month, there just ought to be a G in there somewhere. well, my hunch served me right. this was at the Lunenburg Academy (thank you, my dear louise) where louise @Weezilou brought us on the wednesday that we were in lunenburg. they're hooks of some kind and were on the ledge in one of the rooms that were being renovated. i am a lucky duck, aren't i?
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are greatly appreciated.
Now that's mighty slick! Were you on the trail of letters when you saw this?! Of all the beautiful old things there, this would not have caught my eye! I do like looking at your thumbnail photos now as they're shaping up nicely! That building is "The Lunenburg Academy" (once a grade school since the 1870s) It currently houses the "Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance" (LAMP)...the confusion was understandable!
@Weezilou - no, i wasn't on the hunt for letters then. it just caught my eye and i whimsically took a shot. as you can see it's very "soft" as it was taken rather hastily because i heard you guys calling me. speaking of confusion, i have told my doctor about my rather odd reaction to being in a dark place. i noticed that at the academy as we were roaming the halls. i was okay in the rooms where there was plenty of light, but i was feeling nauseated in the dark hallways. at the church where we went afterwards, i was feeling claustrophobic because it was 'dark' inside that's why i asked that we go outside. i thought i was having palpitations but after sucking in air outside i was fine. it was weird because i never really noticed it, and to think i like old haunts. i was really enjoying looking around at the church when i felt overwhelmed. i must really be getting old.
Well spotted, perfect for your alphabet. I hope you can get to the bottom of your weird reaction to low light areas. Not a pleasant feeling to experience.
@summerfield Sorry to hear about your reaction to dark places.....it sounds like anxiety or panic attack to me.....nothing that a good dose of drugs can't fix!! ;-)))
