i went to my old haunt the beaches because i just needed to hear and be near the water. i had intended to bring along little wahoo but she's gone awol. then miss fleming gough was gone, too. and so was padraigh penwyn. if they don't show up soon, i just might fire them.
i had a choice between an invisible car and the pink piano. the pink piano won out. why? because i couldn't see the car. it's invisible, get it? :-P
found a secluded piece of beach by the filtration plant. it was probably about the size of my apartment and there are concrete steps to get to and from it via the plant's grounds. there was only a weird guy with his phone and selfie stick roaming around. at least no one with a dog came.
for the 52-week challenge. the challenge is to tell a story with a toy.
This is so sweet! It also makes for an interesting optical illusion... at first glance, my eye wanted to make that piano life size - which made the rocks ginormous!
Unlike the others I remember this piano from our 365 Toys days so I knew it was tiny. The incongruous juxtaposition with the beach makes this photo a stunner. I have to give it a FAV for that alone!
This is wonderful -- and I too recognized it from the 365 toy days -- but what I love about this is that you create a story here, not simply tell one. It's a fantastic scene and quite mysterious!
I saw the thumbnail and thought- Who in their right mind puts a piano on the rocks by the sea!? Once second later, I remembered the toy piano- and smiled! Fun shot. I am now humming "Somewhere...beyond the sea..." and imagining it being played on the piano with gentle wave sounds in the background.
