this made me do a double take. normally, i'd be looking for whoever owned these and tell them to have some respect for the tree. but there was no one around that part of the beach. you'd think these had been forgotten but who'd forget their shoes? it amused me quite so, however, such that i had to take a picture just for the sheer pleasure of seeing it.

A superb composition. It would fit in well with the series Bill does about clothing found in parks. At any rate it makes a great shot for three different challenges!
