trying to catch up with the 52-week challenge, week 28 is "Shoot a portrait that is posing as a landscape. Tell a story of the subject using the landscape around them. Fool the viewer."
this was exactly what i had in mind, just that i didn't get to the place during week 28. so last sunday, as it was a really beautiful summer day, i knew there'd be people on the rocks at the beaches that has the view of the downtown skyline.
this man was ensconced amidst the rocks, not minding if people were taking a picture of him, and certainly when he espied me at the lookout which was not that far from his view, he struck so many poses that for the casual eyes seemed natural movements. as a sort of photographer, most of the time i could tell by their body language if people are trying to avoid the camera without making a fuss, or if they are actually enjoying 'photobombing' your shot, or if they don't care at all. on the other hand, the girl from last sunday's post was a little bit agitated and seem to have a feel that i was including her in my shot.
@farmreporter - hahaha! i realized i used the wrong photo, as the right one would have him whole although there are heads of other people nearer the camera. mais c'est la vie.
The fabulous composition that is a wonderful response to that challenge. Very well done. I really like it in black-and-white as it allows us to focus more on the content of the subject
@grammyn - thanks, girlfriend. the colour version was a "bleh!" as the only colour discernible was the green of the two trees in the middle. the rest were just grey disguised as blue.
But that is just me.
