to everything there is a season by summerfield

to everything there is a season

and a time to every purpose under heaven.
- Ecclesiastes

surprising that despite the rains and the cold weather, the colours are slow to appear. yes, there is a sprinkling of yellows and orange and red if you look at the trees, but the woods are still generally greenish.

i passed by the golf course near my apartment building and the woods surrounding it are still rife with green foliage, except for this tree with yellow berries. i wondered why the birds or squirrels haven't devoured these yet, and i figured maybe they're poisonous and the squirrels have all died already. then there was a noise above me and a pair of squirrels were being randy. did i have to witness that?

over five plus two, the theme is wishes. i wish the world tilts and it will be summer all year round, then my joints and bones wouldn't ache so much. in any case, check us out here: https://365project.org/fiveplustwo/365/2018-10-03 and maybe you give it a go?
Really nice mix of colors (Mother Nature knows what she’s doing) and I like the mirrored frame.

im in sympathy with your wish but currently distracted from the misery of oncoming winter by some strong sun in the late afternoons and our changing colours are in full flow. Sorry you had to witness those squirrels! Maybe they were having one last fling before they dropped dead, full of yellow berries.

Good to hear you're still getting mild weather. The colours in this shot are lovely.

Lovely to see. The berries and shrub I mean, not the squirrels getting it on.

This is so gorgeous! The berries really add that pop of colour to the scene.
I like your added touch of a frame around the whole photo.
