this is right below the boss' office window. inside that structure is the TD Canada bank, one of the major banks in the country. i would imagine these are real patches of grasses and not turf because i noted that the left part is starting to change its colour.
another crazy day at the office so i couldn't explore outside, plus the fact that it was raining on and off since this morning. and i hate to get wet in the rain lest i get sick. the challenge today is "geometric patterns" and i figured if i want geometric patterns, all i need do is photograph the surrounding buildings and le voilà! but this being coloured, it works for me.
yesterday's "circles" photo aren't rubber bands. they're colourful straws, processed to black and white, inverted to negative, tilted to 90 degrees although it really didn't mean anything.
I like your photo. It's an interesting thought that there is that much grass on that much space on a rooftop. Are people allowed on it? If not, what's its purpose. Really even if they are allowed on it, what's its purpose? Does it help clean the air?
So, these grass squares on the top of the building - they've gone to an awful lot of bother to make them in such small squares - it does give you a nicer view than normal roof too!
interesting how scale-less this is. I can imagine walking (actually running, the way a child would do) around and zigging and zagging etc. for a long time. But the pathways could be too small.
