i have better brush up seriously on my french. i was speaking to a former workmate, a belgian, and while he struggled with his english, i was not just struggling with my french, i was horribly struggling. i told him that when you don't use it, you lose it, to which he laughed out loud. his filipina wife spoke better french than me but oh, boy! i couldn't understand her english nor her filipino. in the end we decided to do the messenger thing where i could read their french and they could read my english far better than when we were speaking. but i got an invite to visit them in france or have an extended stay if i'm already retired. i should like that, travel the continent again and visit the grave of the almost second mr. summerfield.
this image came out of a dream i had last night. jellyfishes and sharks in the sky, then a big creamy cake slicing itself and tea from a clear crystal kettle with boiling water in it, with a dash of clouds and stars. such lofty dreams. but yes, i should have included a slice of cake in there.
C'est jolie. (My french is less than limites. I know je parie que Paris n'a pas ris de Paris. - no clue if the spelling is right. I bet that in Paris there is no rice of paris... or something like that. And: votre poulle dans notre court - your hens in our yard. But in my language it has a trivial association).
As for the shot, @randystreat Kathy said it: very surreal.
I'd say: dream-like.
LOL! It’s a remarkable photo but I WAS looking for the cake! Fantastic to let your dreams inspire you and still be able to execute such an amazing photo.
