this is the parabolic arched roof of brookfield place complex's atrium - "the crystal cathedral of commerce". taken from the foot of the steps in the below ground food court. one of the times that i wish i had invested in a wide-angle lens.
on a whim, i went downtown with the intention of shooting the pillars at the union station building for week 4 of the 52 captures challenge's 'symmetry' prompt. when i got to the union station there were so many people. i got disoriented so i thought i'd walk to the market. i was surprised to see that the wet snow was in earnest so i went back underground and traversed the building so i did not have to walk outside too much. the escalator was turned off, it being sunday, but pedestrians could still pass by the galeria. before i took the stairs, i thought i'd take a few photos.
