this was my official submission for 52 frames' week three prompt, "your hobby". although i must admit that that butterfly has been taking a long time to finish as i have four other paintings on the go. ever since i started painting with watercolours, i find it is easier to do a small painting here and there with watercolours. especially last Christmas, i could just whip up a card in under five minutes, dry it then mail it. i bought a box of 50 blank cards and envelopes suited for watercolour and acrylic painting. the ladies at church especially loved getting a card from me. why, just today, i sent out one to a lady who was in the hospital this past weekend. she was always inquiring if i wrote something or painted something and would always say she'd like to see them. what a sweet lady. she's good for my morale.
