fire truck by summerfield

fire truck

a snowstorm is raging outside, a mix of rain and snow with wind gusts up to 27 km/h coming from the southeast. it was a good thing i didn't go to the office as i had to sign for the delivery of my new desk chair else it would take me forever to get home. then late in the afternoon, the fire alarm got set off, allegedly somewhere in the elevator shaft. it went on for 25 minutes and a fire truck didn't arrive until well after the 10th minute had passed. even then only one arrived as the others might have been held off by the bad roads. i went out on the balcony to take a few shots of the storm and the lone firetruck.

we're interpreting each line of the lullaby 'rock-a-bye baby'. mine is a lame submission. i tried to take a photo of myself with my hair being blown by the wind using that massive electric fan. the session didn't last beyond 7 shots, i got chilly and now have a headache. https://365project.org/fiveplustwo/365/2023-01-25
I love the POV and monochromatic effect from the snow! I can almost hear the muted sounds created by a snowfall! FAV

Nice bird's eye view. I like the way the fire truck is providing the only bit of colour.

the snowy scene looks great from above. I applaud your efforts to get the scene with the wind blowing but hope that headache goes quickly.

Such a stark scene! FAV I love the effect of the isolated spots of light on the snow from the light poles and truck. Good thing the building wasn’t actually burning down!

I would be a bit anxious seeing a fire truck at my building and being so high up in the building. An interesting sight for sure. Hope all was ok.
