Snowdrops

I realise that most of you are past the snowdrop season but here they're just at their best. Much of our garden is woodland and today I was delighted to find this clump of snowdrops up in the woodland bit. They're the original wild variety so the flowers are quite small.

Niki and the children went to visit an old schoolfriend of Niki's today.
A lovely fairy dell in the making

@claireuk @virtualbrownie They're the only flowers in the garden at the moment so they're a bit special.

They look so pretty. We still have lots of snowdrops in our area and now the daffodils are coming out. But it has been a mild winter.

@foxes37 @yogisue @craig3f2 Thank you for your comments. I think it must be a particularly good year for snowdrops - all of a sudden they seem to be everywhere!
