Rhododendron and Snowdrops

It's unusual to see rhododendrons and snowdrops flowering at the same time. This is a very early rhododendron - not ideal for our garden (we didn't plant it!) because most years it gets hammered by frost. Lets hope this year will be different.
Lovely pic - John will of course want to know its name. Beautiful.

@pamelaclarke Thank you Pamela. Please tell John it's called Pinkus Verius Earlius. It's a very old variety.

@foxes37 It's the only one. None of the others flower so early (and we have a lot!). It doesn't seem quite right when you think about where we live and how far behind everything in our garden usually is.
