I took this picture from my bedroom window at 7.30 this morning (yes Pamela I do take my camera to bed with me!). Mrs Yellowhammer was there too but she's not so brightly coloured.
@dizzyd Thank you Helen. The window was open and in fact it's a good place to take pictures, especially when you're wearing your pyjamas! I hadn't really realised just how many different birds we do have until I set myself the challenge of photographing them all for my photo book. Most of the birds, including this yellowhammer are permanent residents.
LOVELY shot, Sue. I didn't know you had a window in your pyjamas - very chic. Did you notice if he was collecting food as opposed to eating it? Fab picture.
@pamelaclarke Thank you Pamela. I think they might have been eating it rather than collecting because they were pottering around on the ground for quite a long time but maybe they were just stuffing their beaks. @craig3f2@foxes37@gille Thank you all. yes Gill we have.
@yogisue Funny you should ask that Sue. I've never seen an eagle in the garden, just red kites and buzzards overhead, but my good friend Pamela has seen one nearby! We get everything 'ere mate.
@craig3f2 @foxes37 @gille Thank you all. yes Gill we have.
