Stanmer House, Grounds and Rainwater Catch

This is a mansion north east of Brighton on the edge of the South Downs. It was bought by Brighton Corporation in 1946 and leased to the University of Sussex from 1961 - 1980. In 2004 after years of neglect it was bought by private investors and renovated and is now a restaurant and function venue. This Rainwater Catch is well known because of it's rarity. I found it fascinating. Sadly this does look rathher neglected.
Such an interesting collage, thanks for sharing.
The Snowdrops look lovely too.

@dizzyd @foxes37 Thank you ladies. It was an interesting place and there was plenty of outside space for the children to play.
