We were out in the garden this afternoon when suddenly there was a loud noise and it was getting nearer and nearer and louder and louder. Suddenly there was this big yellow helicopter at eye level and then it circled all around the valley among the trees, below the level of the house. The helicopter had ELECTRICITY written on the side but we have no idea what was going on.
This has happened several times in our San Diego neighborhood when we lived there. We lived near a lake, and it turned out that each time they were searching for someone who was hiding in the brush, etc. around the lake. The helicopters were sent in to search from overhead.
they are checking overhead cables are ok and poles all upright. Always make me think of "Whichita Lineman" and Glen Campbell (singer for those younger than me!!)
Something exciting about a helicopter....we always think something exciting is happening.....hope it isn't in your case....we don't want any pylons any where near us!
I agree with Rita @barneyone about the checking of lines - common occurrence. And I also love her association with Glen Campbell's song! Terrific captures of this very bright yellow helicopter :)
